Summerslam 2016 is still a month away!!!! The event takes place on August 21st 2016 at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York. This week on WWE TV we found out the two championship matches that will take place for both RAW and SMACKDOWN LIVE. Seth Rollins will take on Finn Balor for the newly formed WWE Universal Title of the RAW brand. Dean Ambrose will defend his WWE Title against Dolph Ziggler on the Smackdown LIVE brand. I decided to throw together some of the likely matches for Summerslam 2016.

Confirmed matches for Summerslam 2016:
– Seth Rollins vs Finn Balor – WWE Universal Title (RAW).
-Dolph Ziggler vs Dean Ambrose (c) – WWE Title (Smackdown).
-Brock Lesnar vs Randy Orton (RAW + Smackdown).
Here are the matches that I think will almost certainly happen.
-AJ Styles vs John Cena II (Smackdown).
-Charlotte vs Sasha Banks (c) – WWE Women’s Championship (RAW).
-Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs The New Day (c) – WWE Tag Team Championship (RAW).

Now that is a pretty strong card already. We still have a ton of names available from each brand that still need feuds/storylines. We will obviously have to wait a bit longer to see). I might be missing a couple:
RAW – Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Enzo and Cass (could be added to tag team title match), Cesaro, Rusev etc.
Smackdown Live – Bray Wyatt, Corbin, American Alpha, Crews, Becky Lynch, The Miz. Also returning guys like Shelton Benjamin, Rhyno etc.
Summerslam is shaping up pretty darn well if you ask me. Let us know what matches you want to see with the remaining roster!
