WWE No Mercy will take place on October 9th at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. This will be the second Smackdown Live exclusive PPV event. It looks like we have our headlining match, as was announced this week on Smackdown LIVE by commissioner Shane McMahon.

AJ Styles will defend his WWE World Title against John Cena and Dean Ambrose in a triple threat match.You can see the highlights from the opening segment of Smackdown Live below, where the match was announced:

As for Dean Ambrose and his automatic re-match after losing the title at Backlash. Apparently this match won’t count for it. Shane McMahon mentioned that Dean and him will talk later about his 1 on 1 re-match. This means that even if he loses as No Mercy, he will be the next in line for the title?
This could be the WWE’s loophole out of giving Dean his 1 on 1 re-match or this could be legit. We will have to wait and find out what happens.
