The New Day were recently interviewed by TMZ sports after hosting Wrestlemania 33. During the interview, they spoke about the backstage reaction in the WWE locker room after the Undertaker was defeated by Roman Reigns at the event.

The Undertaker left his gear in the ring after the match and it looks like he has officially retired from professional wrestling.
So what was the backstage reaction? The New Day says that even though they were hosting, they didn’t know that the Undertaker was going to lose.
Big E says that it was very emotional backstage. He says that he talked to Corey Graves backstage and he said that he had to bite the inside of his mouth on-air in order to stop himself from crying when he was calling the match.
Xavier Woods would also speak on how well-respected the Undertaker has been more over 2 decades and it was a sad moment to see him lose. WWE stars were all discussing the Undertaker and his legacy on the business after the match.

Big E says that he saw him at the hotel after Wrestlemania with his wife [Michelle McCool]. He would mention that the Undertaker is probably the most respected guy backstage in the history of WWE;
“He’s always talked about in this Godfather-like way. And it’s well-earned, everyone always has had such respect for him. At this moment you want to celebrate this great career, but you’re also mourning the end”
