New Rumor On The Plans For The Ladder Match Between Shane McMahon & Kevin Owens

WWE has confirmed a ladder match for the debut episode of Smackdown on FOX. It will be Kevin Owens vs Shane McMahon.

If Owens wins, Shane is officially removed from power on Smackdown. If Shane wins, the lawsuit against him is dropped and Owens remains fired from Smackdown.

We have a new rumor to pass your way about the match.

According to WrestlingNews.co, the plans are for Shane to lose and for him to get written off WWE television as an authority figure:

I was told that the feud will end with Owens winning and McMahon no longer being involved as an authority figure because WWE is going to present a more sports-like product with more conclusive finishes and less interference from non-wrestling characters.

My Take: We should take this with a grain of salt for now but it would make a lot of sense. Fans are sick of Shane being in power and this is the perfect opportunity for a fresh start. Have Shane lose and let’s start fresh with the move to FOX.
