Asuka vs. Ember Moon (NXT Women’s Title)
They have something special with Asuka right now. She’s almost the Goldberg of NXT but she can work a fifteen minute match. It feels like they have been building to this match since Ember Moon first debuted in NXT. I’m torn on this match as I feel they need to start getting other women groomed for when Asuka moves up however I’m not sure Asuka has a place right now on either main roster. I know people want to see her brought up but where?
On Smackdown Live the title picture doesn’t even include Charlotte or Becky Lynch at the moment and Carmella has the briefcase. They have enough matches through WrestleMania when you include the two that are in the match at Summerslam. On the Raw side you may say “well Bayley is hurt and will be out” yeah but you’ve just launched a Bliss and Banks feud that will go a few months and have Nia Jax lurking.
Also Emma and Mickie James are there and oh Bayley will be returning and likely feuding with Sasha Banks. So if Asuka stays it makes more sense for Moon to take the title and you get the rematch right? I guess so, I think Asuka comes up after Wrestlemania next year so the easiest way to get there and help the division is Asuka drops the title has the rematch and then puts over the next number one contender on the way out.

Bobby Roode vs. Drew McIntyre (NXT Title Match)
This may be the most WWE style and looking NXT title match since the inception of the NXT title. Both of these guys should be on the main roster this time next year for one of the two brands. Think about that for a second Bobby Roode and Drew McIntrye will be added along with Asuka this time next year. The amount of talent in the WWE system Is insane and only looks to get stronger. Right now there are more top-level baby faces than top heels in NXT which leads me to think Roode is retaining here. While McIntyre has been built correctly and could possibly be a surprise Rumble entrant I don’t think he’s going to get the title. This is his first shot at it and maybe Roode find a way to win and we get a triple threat with Strong, McIntyre and Roode at the next Takeover.
To me Bobby Roode right now is the guy that needs to be the champion and should lose it to Black next year. Allow Roode to have a strong hold on the title and that way when Black wins it you can really solidify him yet again as a top-tier guy. Roode gets the win and it will be GLORIOUS!
