October 25th Smackdown LIVE Viewership Numbers Suffer Huge Drop

The October 25th Smackdown LIVE episode was headlined by a match between AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose. If Ambrose were to win, he would receive a match for the WWE World Championship. Ambrose ended up losing the match via disqualification after James Ellsworth hit Styles with a superkick.

According to Showbuzzdaily.com, the October 25th Smackdown Live drew 2.127 million viewers. This is down significantly from last weeks show that drew 2.405 million viewers. This marks the lowest number since the WWE brand split back in July.

The show did have some big competition, including game one of the World Series and the opening night of the NBA season. I don’t think WWE should put too much stock into the poor numbers. The 2.1 million mark is where WWE was around for Smackdown prior to the brand split, so WWE will want to boost those numbers in the upcoming weeks so they don’t stay there.

In comparison, RAW drew 2.819 million viewers this week.

Here were the top 10 moments from the October 25th Smackdown LIVE episode:
