Some Possible Reasons Why WWE Could Be Making All PPV’s Dual-Branded

The big story right now about WWE is the company potentially going away from single branded PPV events. It looks like WWE could be making all events after Wrestlemania 34 dual-branded with Superstars from both RAW and Smackdown Live.

So why are they potentially making this change? Dave Meltzer provided an update on the situation on Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here).

Meltzer says that when looking into it, he was told that an official announcement will be coming soon from WWE on the situation.

He also provided some potential reasons why WWE could be moving to dual-branded events.

– Meltzer says that some of the ticket advances for the single-branded PPV events haven’t been very strong.

– He also says that there is so long in-between single branded PPV events that it is slowing down the booking for television. There are sometimes two months from when a feud begins to the PPV blow off match. As a result, WWE television sits at a standstill and has to stall from week to week.

The dual-branded shows would logically draw more ticket sales as there will be more star power on the shows. Also, it would likely speed up storylines and feuds.
