Batista last appeared on WWE television during the 1000th episode of Smackdown. During the episode, there was a bit of a tease for a potential match between Triple H and Batista.
After Smackdown 1000, fans started to speculate that the match could happen at Wrestlemania 35.
Batista has landed another big movie role, which puts his status at Wrestlemania in serious doubt.
According to Variety, Batista will be joining the cast of the “Dune” reboot. The movie was a failure at the box office but developed a cult following over the years.
The movie won’t come out until 2020 but a report from Bleeding Cool suggests that filming will start as early as February.
This is a pretty big hint that Batista won’t be wrestling at Wrestlemania 35. Looks like we can probably cross him off our match cards.
Fans may have to wait until Wrestlemania 36 for Batista vs Triple H.
