Royal Rumble weekend is just about here. There is a lot of anticipation for both the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View and NXT Takeover: Philadelphia.
We have a potential spoiler for the weekend. We are unsure if it will be for Takeover or for the Royal Rumble itself.
Pete Dunne has been pulled from an independent booking on Royal Rumble weekend. Britannia Wrestling Promotions says that Dunne has been recalled at the last-minute by WWE.
Here is what they posted:
“It is with regret that we inform the BWP Faithful that Pete Dunne will no longer be attending BWP Royally Rumbled next weekend due to last-minute contractual obligations to WWE. WWE have called Pete back to America ahead of their Royal Rumble event next Sunday”

This will certainly lead to a lot of speculation about Dunne. Will he be defending his UK Title at NXT Takeover? Or maybe he will be a surprise Royal Rumble entrant. We will have to wait and see. Certainly, interesting that he is needed for the weekend.
