The topic that is dominating the wrestling world over the past few days has to do with Neville. A ton of rumors have circulated about Neville asking for his release from WWE.
According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, we have some more details on Neville and a specific reason why he is unhappy.
The report says that according to two different sources, Neville is pushing for his release in order to build his name outside of the company. This would be similar to what Drew McIntyre recently did before returning to NXT. No question that promotions around the world would love to have Neville.
According to the report, there are several reasons why Neville is unhappy. One specific reason was due to his match against Austin Aries being left off the Wrestlemania 33 DVD. The match was on the kickoff show and the DVD doesn’t include kickoff show matches. As a result, he made no royalties from the biggest selling DVD of the year.
For what it is worth, Johnson disputes the rumors that Neville walked out after learning he would be losing to Enzo on RAW. Johnson says that Neville wasn’t even at RAW on Monday.
According to the report, Neville has not been released by WWE. There is still a chance he works things out with WWE but as of right now, he isn’t slated into any Cruiserweight plans or won’t be travelling with the company.
