A new report suggests that WWE is making a change to upcoming Takeover events.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Takeover events will soon be starting an hour earlier. Here is a quote from Meltzer (via Ringside News):
“So WWE NXT is going to be starting an hour earlier. I don’t know if the next TakeOver, the Brooklyn show I don’t know that Brooklyn is starting earlier. I’ll try to get that confirmed in the next couple of days. But I know the Los Angeles show is starting 1 hour earlier, 7 o’clock eastern which is 4 o’clock local time.”
“The idea is the shows will be under 3 hours that they will be over at 10. Usually, these shows are under 2 1/2 hours. The idea is not to lengthen the shows but based on the history of the changes in WWE that weren’t supposed to lengthen the shows and did lengthen the shows I think it’s probably going to end up the same thing.”
Are you down for Takeover events starting earlier as long as they stay the same length? We will let you know when we hear anything more on the topic.
