The WWE Crown Jewel event will be taking place this Friday in Saudi Arabia. The event has been a hot topic of conversation, with WWE getting heavily criticized for still running the show.
We have a report to pass your way about a change that is being discussed for the Crown Jewel event.
According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, there was a creative pitch made over the past week for Drew McIntyre to get added to the Universal Championship match.
As it stands, Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman will be facing off for the vacant Universal Championship. If McIntyre is added, it would turn it into a triple threat match, which was originally the plan before Roman Reigns had to vacate the Championship.
This is just a creative pitch that was made and not set in stone. We will more than likely receive our answer on tonight’s episode of RAW, which will be the go-home episode for the red brand prior to Crown Jewel. This would be an interesting change though if it happens.
