Cruiserweight wrestling has been the talk of WWE for the past month or so. The WWE Cruiserweight Classic has had a lot of success so far and is one of the most exciting things on WWE TV. Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley announced a couple of weeks ago that RAW would be getting an exclusive Cruiserweight division. It looks like the WWE Universal Title won’t be the only new belt coming to RAW.

According to a report by PWinsider Elite, a new WWE Cruiserweight Championship Belt is in the process of being made. The report doesn’t specify when, only that the belt is being made and is confirmed to be coming to RAW.
This makes sense and is confirming what many people already thought. The division needs something to fight for and the new Cruiserweight Title will fill that role.
We last saw a Cruiserweight Championship in the WWE back in 2008. The old Cruiserweight division also had a weight limit of 225lbs while the current CWC tournament has a limit of 205lbs. It is unclear what the WWE will decide on but we will update you guys when we know more.
Here are the names eligible if it is a 205lbs weight limit:
Finn Balor 190lbs
Sami Zayn 205lbs
Enzo Amore 200lbs
Neville 194lbs
Sin Cara 198lbs
The WWE will likely be signing a number of the CWC competitors to help fill out the roster.
