On a recent episode of the Ric Flair Show, the Nature Boy discussed the match between Goldberg and Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series. Goldberg shocked the wrestling world by defeating Lesnar in just over a minute. This was something that surprised a lot of wrestling fans and even a wrestling legend like Ric Flair.
Flair says that Lesnar did Goldberg one of the biggest favors that he has seen in the wrestling business:
“With the momentum he has; I mean, Brock did him the biggest favor I have seen in this business in a long time. I mean, really, think about it. He just beat Brock Lesnar in a minute and 26 seconds, and convincingly. I mean, and they both look great, Bill looked to be in great shape”
On his pre-match concerns about Goldberg being taken to Suplex City and his body not being able to hold up:
“My only concern was my worry of him being ready; not to faults of his own, but be ready to be bounced around by Brock, but he didn’t have to experience it, so I’m happy for both of them. They both are making a lot of money, especially Brock”

He is certainly not wrong. Lesnar has been built up as a monster over the past few years, squashing the likes of John Cena and even defeating the Undertaker’s Wrestlemania streak. He was defeated by Goldberg VERY quickly and this is going to set up some more matches between the two, which means big money for both.
