Rich Brennan On His First Meeting With Vince McMahon, If Vince Ever Was At NXT
You might remember Rich Brennan from his time announcing NXT or Smackdown. You also might remember him as the backstage interviewer for the WWE for a little while. Rich was released by the WWE a couple months ago after the WWE brought in new talent. In a recent interview with WrestlingInc, Brennan goes into a bit of detail about Vincent Kennedy McMahon.

Here were some of the highlights:
Rich Brennan on the first time he met Vince McMahon:
“The first time I met him was at that San Jose show [In 2015] I went up to him and said hello, he said ‘how are you,’ and that was it. There’s always a line to talk to him, he always has something going on. I’m just an announcer, not someone important. I’m not going to knock on his door and demand something important. He knew who I was, that was kind of unique – it’s Vince McMahon” (Source: WrestlingInc).
I can’t even begin to imagine how intimidating it would be to meet Vince McMahon for the first time as an employee.

Brennan also says that Vince lets Triple H run the show in NXT and only appears for the big events:
“Never in [Full Sail]. On the main roster, he was always there on the road. Talked to him a handful of times, never had any long conversations with him, a couple of seconds or a minute here or there. At the big shows, he’d pop up. The San Jose show before WrestleMania, Brooklyn, Dallas he was there. As far as coming down to the Performance Center in Florida, I never saw him down there. It’s kind of Triple H’s building” (Source: WrestlingInc).
The full interview is coming soon to WrestlingInc.com.

Some interesting comments. I figured that Vince isn’t looking over Triple H’s shoulder at NXT. He is a busy man and still travelling to every show and running it his way. Let us know your thoughts on his comments below!
