Sasha Banks’ last match came back on the January 3rd episode of Smackdown. Dana Brooke & Lacey Evans beat the teams of Sasha & Bayley and Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross. Sasha was also involved in the feud between Lacey and Bayley but she hasn’t been seen in several weeks after suffering an ankle injury.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer provided an update on the current plans for Sasha at Wrestlemania 36.
Meltzer says that Banks is still out of action with an ankle injury but she is expected back soon. He also says that WWE doesn’t have any big plans for her at Wrestlemania 36 when she does return.
She will either be involved in the show in a non-wrestling role or in the Wrestlemania Women’s battle royal:

My Take:
- I am still holding out hope for Bayley vs Sasha Banks at Wrestlemania 36. If it isn’t that match at ‘Mania, I am confused as to who Bayley will defend her belt against. Sasha seems like the biggest match that they could do. They also just wasted Bayley vs Naomi in Saudi Arabia, which would have been another good choice for Wrestlemania. We will have to wait and see I guess.
