Rumor On The Plans For Becky Lynch At The Royal Rumble & Wrestlemania 35

Becky Lynch defeated Charlotte Flair and Carmella on Smackdown Live to become the number one contender for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. Becky will be challenging Asuka at the Royal Rumble PPV.

We have the latest rumors to pass your way about the plans for Becky at the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania 35.

This information comes from Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here).

According to Meltzer, the current plan is for Becky to be involved in a triple threat match at Wrestlemania 35: Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair vs Ronda Rousey. After going back-and-forth, Vince McMahon has reportedly agreed with arguments that Charlotte should be involved in this match.

As for the Royal Rumble, Meltzer says that there has been some talk of Becky entering the Rumble match as a surprise entrant. Becky would go on to win and challenge Ronda. If this ends up happening, Charlotte would have to get into the Wrestlemania match another way. That could possibly happen at the Elimination Chamber or Fastlane PPV events prior to Wrestlemania.

My Take: My personal guess is that Becky and Charlotte will hit the floor at the same time to become co-winners. I feel like fans will crap on the Women’s Rumble match if Becky doesn’t end up winning.
