EC3 hasn’t done much since being called up to the WWE main roster. We have seen him a handful of times on Monday Night RAW but he has been rarely used.
We have a rumor to pass your way about some plans that were recently scrapped for EC3.
During a recent dark match, WWE was testing out EC3 with a manager. That manager was Drake Maverick, who was EC3’s friend and rival during their time together in IMPACT Wrestling.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), Vince McMahon hated it. Here is an excerpt:
“[Luke Harper] was basically used as the opponent to test out the EC 3 and Maverick pairing as wrestler/manager. The agents set up a bunch of manager spots in the match. Vince then watched it and said he hated the manager spots”
My Take: Have to feel bad for EC3. Makes zero sense why they even called him up as he could have had a solid run in NXT to gain some momentum. I am not sure where he goes from here.
