Rumor On What WWE Originally Thought About Dean Ambrose Leaving The Company

Dean Ambrose has been making headlines since leaving WWE a few months ago. The biggest news was his surprise appearance at AEW’s Double or Nothing event. Dean will also be competing in NJPW’s G1 Climax tournament this year.

We have a rumor to pass your way about what WWE originally thought about Dean leaving the company.

According to a report from Rajah, WWE thought that Dean would only be taking a year off. Here is what the report says:

When Moxley initially decided to leave WWE, he had told both Vince McMahon and Paul Levesque that he was intending to take a year off to “heal (his) body and (his) brain” so the assumption was that he would be returning to the company in 2020.

In fact, the source adds that WWE was so sure that Moxley would be back in WWE that they had already planned for some “tentative creative” for his comeback at the Royal Rumble next year.
