Rumor On Why WWE Booked Goldberg vs Dolph Ziggler At Summerslam

On this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Goldberg made a surprise appearance. It was revealed that he will be facing Dolph Ziggler at Summerslam.

This will be Goldberg’s first match since WWE Super Showdown. At the event, Goldberg lost to The Undertaker in what was a really poor match.

We have a rumor to pass your way about why WWE booked Dolph as Goldberg’s opponent.

According to Tom Colohue of Sportskeeda, Dolph was selected in order to help Goldberg look as good as possible. Here is what a source said about Dolph:

“For his experience. Everyone looks good wrestling with Dolph. WWE loves Dolph. There’s nothing he can’t do.”

Also, Ziggler’s weight is a factor. This will allow Goldberg to hit the Jackhammer during the match with ease. This was a move that he struggled with against the Deadman:

“You remember the Jackhammer? I do. We all do. Dolph’s safe and he doesn’t weigh too much, really.”

My Take: I am expecting a squash. I think it will last less than two minutes, with Goldberg winning.
