3) Update on The Rumors Of Vince McMahon Buying Back The XFL
Over the past few days, there have been some rumors that Vince McMahon is planning to buy the XFL back at a cheap price after filing for bankruptcy.
In bankruptcy court, McMahon responded to these claims. Here is what ESPN’s Kevin Seifert wrote:
“In a filing today in bankruptcy court, Vince McMahon said he will not be a bidder for the XFL. The unsecured creditors committee had previously objected to the proceedings, saying McMahon was trying to rig the process to buy back the league without fully paying back debtors.”
My Take:
- I was really enjoying this version of the XFL before things got shut down. I think that it had a chance to be pretty successful if it didn’t get canceled.
2) Samoa Joe’s Current Status
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Samoa Joe has still not been cleared by WWE doctors to return to the ring. This comes after he suffered another concussion a few months ago.
Meltzer also says that Joe is not becoming a full-time announcer. This is because he is too valuable to the company as a wrestler.
My Take:
- I definitely agree that Joe is too valuable as a wrestler. His only issue is that he seems to get injured a lot. Joe is really good at commentary and definitely has a future in it after he hangs up the boots.
