Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Backstage Reaction In WWE For “Blood & Guts”

According to Ringside News, AEW’s ‘Blood & Guts’ match was a big topic of conversation in WWE this week. The site claims that a lot of people in WWE viewed the match as barbaric.

Here is what the site wrote:

Ringside News has been told that AEW’s Blood & Guts match was a huge topic of conversation today within WWE, but not for a good reason. We were told that most backstage considered the match as “barbaric” with all the “bloodletting” that took place.

A tenured member of the creative team opened up to us about how AEW’s Blood & Guts match is viewed by many within the company. “It was a bad image for the industry, especially the obvious blading.”

My Take:

  • I don’t think I would go as far as saying it was a bad image for the industry. I enjoyed the event, even if it was a bit too bloody for my liking. The show was called “Blood and Guts” though, so its not like we didn’t know what to expect.

4) Backstage Reaction To Pat McAfee On Commentary

According to Pat McAfee, Vince McMahon has told him that he is enjoying working with him on Smackdown. Here is what McAfee said (via Wrestletalk):

“Mr H [Triple H], he walked over to me and congratulated me. He told me it was really cool to see. His wife, Stephanie McMahon was there. And… and… and… on camera, we got it, I talked to Vince McMahon, who said he’s enjoying working with me. Success all around baby!”

Michael Cole also told McAfee the following:

“24 years I’ve been here, never have had the boss come up to me after the show, shake my hand, tell me I did a great job. This guy [McAfee] has been here for three weeks.”

My Take:

  • I have always been a Pat McAfee fan and I like him on the Smackdown commentary team. I find him hilarious and I think that he has been good in his role so far.
