3) WWE Bringing Back Cancelled Video Game?
According to Heel By Nature, WWE recently filed to trademark the name of the cancelled video game, ‘WWE Brawl’. This was a game that was supposed to come out back in 2012.
Here is what the site wrote:
On 8/23, WWE filed the following trademarks. The applications were entered into the trademark database on Thursday afternoon (8/26).
WWE Brawl
WWE Extreme Rules
AWA
WWE Universe
My Take:
- I would be down for another WWE game. Sounds fun to me.
2) Backstage Note On Brock Lesnar’s Return (Part 1)
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Brock Lesnar’s return to WWE was a very last-minute deal.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
“For Lesnar, he showed up after Reigns had pinned John Cena to win the main event after a grueling match. His music played. He looked big, but didn’t look as hard physically, in the sense he at least didn’t look like he got major advanced notice of this. That was confirmed by those closest to the situation say it was later than that, saying it was literally a last minute deal that was put together for a number of reasons, all in some form related to FOX, C.M. Punk showing up in AEW and John Cena leaving.”
My Take:
- This isn’t surprising. I could see Vince giving Brock a boatload of money to show up at the last second and he happily obliged.
