Rumor Roundup: Backstage Notes On The WWE Draft, Shane McMahon’s Status, More

3) Backstage Note On Survivor Series Ticket Sales

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Survivor Series isn’t doing great in terms of ticket sales. The event is taking place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Here is what Meltzer wrote:

I’m still at a loss regarding Survivor Series at the Barclays Center on 11/21. As of press time they were at 6,835, but as of earlier in the week it was 4,700 of that paid (it’s probably a little higher now but not much more than a few hundred) and of those, 2,107 were secondary market tickets which means 44.8 percent of ticket sales went to secondary market brokers.

My Take:

  • Maybe after the WWE Draft is over, there will be a big surge in sales? We will have to wait and see but that doesn’t sounds like a great start for WWE.

2) Name For The Queen Of The Ring Tournament

According to Andrew Zarian, WWE is calling the upcoming Queen of the Ring tournament the ‘Queen’s Crown Tournament’.

Here is what Zarian Tweeted:

“Queen’s Crown Tournament” is the official name moving forward for “Queen of The Ring”

My Take:

  • Queen of the Ring sounds better but I am fine with it.
