Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Backstage Note On Shane McMahon
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), Shane McMahon is still under contract with WWE as an on-screen talent. While saying that, Shane hasn’t been seen at the WWE offices recently.
Here is what Sapp wrote:
Fightful had recently heard that Shane McMahon was no longer with the company. However, when we inquired with WWE reps, we were told he was “still a WWE talent and under a deal.” However, it was also noted that he’s rarely if ever at WWE offices anymore.
My Take:
- To me, this means that Shane has zero backstage role with WWE at all. He is still a talent though that they can bring back at some point.
4) WWE Happy With Controversial New Gimmick
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is happy with the mainstream attention that the Joe Gacy gimmick is getting them.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
The Joe Gacy woke left gimmick has gotten WWE some mainstream pub, including on Fox News, which the company is very happy with
My Take:
- Sounds like we can expect to see Joe receive a push over the next little while.
