Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Botched Finish On RAW
This week’s episode of RAW featured a 6-woman tag team match. Charlotte Flair, Mandy Rose, and Dana Brooke beat Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, and Lacey Evans via countout. The match was re-started, leading to Nia, Shayna, and Lacey winning.
According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, the countout finish was a botch and not planned. Here is what he wrote:
For those who have asked about Dana Brooke, we are told she is 100% OK after the rough bump she took from a Nia Jax chokeslam.
However, the six woman tag team bout featuring Charlotte Flair, Mandy Rose, and Dana Brooke vs. Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler and Lacey Evans had to be stopped and restarted after a commercial break after Baszler was legitimately counted out of the ring by the referee, leading to Adam Pearce being sent out to improvise a restart.
My Take:
- This makes sense as something definitely seemed off. WWE refs are told to call it like a shoot, so I am glad that they were able to improvise.
4) Why Paul Heyman Was Backstage At RAW
According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline, Paul Heyman was backstage at this week’s episode of RAW. The speculation is that Heyman is working with Goldberg for his promos/ segments.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
I don’t expect him on TV, but Paul Heyman is at Raw today. Heyman is in charge of Bill Goldberg’s promos so he most likely is there to work on whatever Goldberg is doing on tonight’s show. Since there is no storyline relationship, it would make no sense for him to appear on the air.
My Take:
- Goldberg’s promo this week was fine. Short and simple, which I think he is best at.
