1) Backstage Update On Vince McMahon & COVID-19 Protocols
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select (subscribe here), Vince McMahon is starting to clamp down on the WWE Superstars who are not following COVID-19 protocols.
Here is what Sapp wrote about Vince getting pissed off about a wrestler attending an amusement part without a mask:
There was a particular incident of a wrestler or staff member at amusement parks unmasked weeks back that set Vince McMahon off after he had made it clear he wanted wrestlers taking more precautions as a result of COVID-19 risks.
Sapp also added the following about WWE staffers being disciplined for not wearing masks:
“There have also been instances of staffers having their responsibilities reduced after photos of them emerged out and about without masks.”
My Take:
- It sounds like WWE is really clamping down before Wrestlemania 37. It makes sense though as an outbreak prior to Wrestlemania 37 would be a disaster. WWE is banking on over 30,000 fans per night for the event and they don’t want to mess things up.
