1) Backstage Reaction To Bray Wyatt’s Release (Part 2)
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), people backstage in WWE are not buying that Bray Wyatt was let go from WWE due to budget cuts. For those who missed it, budget cuts is what Bray was told when he was let go from the company.
Here is what Sapp wrote:
A consensus was that almost nobody in the company truly believed this was a budget cut, citing Wyatt’s popularity, merchandise sales among reasons.
Sapp also added the following about Superstars in WWE not feeling like their jobs are safe after Bray was let go:
Wyatt was well known within the company to move merchandise when he was an active performer, and several other long-time stars said that they don’t feel like their jobs are safe any longer, despite of their positions on the card or prior pushes.
My Take:
- Bray being let go means that nobody is safe. It feels like anybody could get let go at any moment.
