Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Update On The Daniel Bryan-WWE Hall Of Fame Rumors
According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, Daniel Bryan is not planned to be inducted into the 2021 WWE Hall of Fame class. This was a rumor over the past week but it was actually an error from someone on the WWE Network.
Here is what Johnson wrote:
Bryan was accidentally listed as a 2021 Inductee on the WWE Network briefly over the weekend.
PWInsider.com has been told it was an accidental error that came up when a collection of Bryan-related videos were added as a subtitle for the previous Eric Bischoff collection was incorrectly posted. WWE removed the listing within minutes, but screenshots of Bryan described as a Hall of Famer made the rounds.
So, while he is certainly deserving and will undoubtedly be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame one day, 2021 is not the year for Daniel Bryan.
My Take:
- This makes sense. It would be weird for him to go in right now while he is still such a big part of the roster.
4) New WWE Trademark
WWE has recently filed to trademark the phrase, “SWING IS IN THE AIR”.
Here is what the trademark filing is for:
“Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment”
My Take:
- The only thing that I can think of is this is something for Cesaro. Or, maybe it is an upcoming Spring PPV? I am not sure but I am leaning towards something for Cesaro, maybe a new catchphrase.
