Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Possible Smackdown Match
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Roman Reigns vs Xavier Woods is being advertised locally for this week’s episode of Smackdown.
Here is what Johnson wrote:
A number of readers sent word that local advertising this weekend on FOX has listed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. King Xavier Woods for this week’s edition of Friday Night Smackdown
My Take:
- This would be a fun match. It could also be the dark match for when the show goes off the air, so we will have to wait and see.
4) More Releases Coming?
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, there were 10 other Superstars that WWE discussed cutting. This is not including the several names that were let go last week.
Here is what Meltzer said:
Of all the people that were cut, there were probably about 10 others that were in strong discussion about being cut.
My Take:
- Must be just a terrible time to be in WWE right now. Job security is definitely not guaranteed and it feels like cuts can happen at any time. I would be on my toes for sure.
