Rumor Roundup: Bron Breaker’s WWE Future, The Plans For Edge, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Edge’s WWE Future

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Edge will be off WWE television for the next few months.

Here is what Meltzer wrote:

Edge went out on a stretcher and was taken away in an ambulance. This will explain Edge not being around for a few months. Since Edge only works part-time it is easy to do injury angles to explain his being gone but there’s also a limit on how many you can do before it feels like you’ve seen it before.

My Take:

  • My guess is that he will be back for the Royal Rumble and into Wrestlemania season.

4) WWE Getting Some Pressure From TV Networks

According to Andrew Zarian on the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast, WWE is getting pressure from FOX and the USA Network to treat both RAW and Smackdown evenly. This is in terms of surprises and big moments.

Here is what Zarian said:

“From speaking a lot of my friends at the networks, they’re alluding that when you see something big happen on one, expect something big to happen on the other. Maybe not the following week, but they have to treat them weekly, that’s true.”

My Take:

  • This makes sense as one TV network wouldn’t want all of the big moments happening on the other show.
