Rumor Roundup: Cancelled WWE Plans For Tyson Fury, New WWE Signings, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) New WWE Signings

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE has recently signed two Wrestlers from Australia. These new signings are Matty Wahlberg and Steph De Lander.

Here is what Johnson wrote about them:

Australian wrestlers Matty Wahlberg and Steph De Lander have signed with WWE for the NXT brand.

Wahlberg, real name Matt Farrelly, debuted in 2017 after training from Madison Eagles and New Japan Pro Wrestling star Robbie Eagles. He starred in the Australian version of Survivor in 2019 and is considered one of the best wrestlers in Australia.

My Take:

  • I am excited to see how both of them do. Sound like two solid pick-ups.

4) More On WWE’s Leg Slapping Ban

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, most people in WWE figure that the leg slapping ban will be forgotten about soon.

Here is what Meltzer wrote:

It’s one of those things (remember the no wrestling during commercial breaks ban) that most figure will be forgotten about soon enough.

My Take:

  • I agree that it is probably something Vince McMahon hates right now but will be forgotten about in a few weeks.
