Rumor Roundup: How Those Backstage In WWE View Matt Riddle, Change Made To Super Showdown, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) NXT Star Not Scheduled For Wrestlemania

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Keith Lee is not currently scheduled for Wrestlemania 36. This comes despite him being involved in both Survivor Series and the Royal Rumble over the past few months.

Here is what Meltzer said:

“Keith Lee’s not on the card, at least yet and he probably won’t be because he’ll be on the card on the night before.”

My Take:

  • This makes sense as Lee is likely going to be involved in one of the top matches at NXT Takeover: Portland. Still, I would love to see Lee at ‘Mania as I am a big fan of his.

4) WWE Making A Change To WWE Super Showdown

WWE’s last event in Saudi Arabia was a mess. WWE’s plane was grounded for 24 hours and the roster didn’t make it back to the United States in time for Smackdown.

It appears as if WWE is learning from their mistakes and is changing things up for WWE Super Showdown.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select (subscribe here), WWE is not sending a good chunk of their roster to Saudi Arabia for the event as they did last time:

WWE thought better of sending the entire roster to Saudi Arabia this go around after the issues last time.

My Take:

  • WWE also booked John Cena for Smackdown, so they have a big name confirmed for the episode already in case something goes wrong. It seems like WWE is trying to avoid any big issues.
