Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Title Changes At Summerslam
There are not many title changes expected at Summerslam.
According to BetOnline, all of the current Champions are favored to win their matches at the event. This includes Roman Reigns, Nikki A.S.H, Bianca Belair, Bobby Lashley, and The Usos.
Sheamus vs Damian Priest does not currently have any odds as of writing this.
My Take:
- Priest winning the title is the only change that I expect. Other than that, it seems like a lot of Champions will be retaining.
4) Why WWE Shortens So Many Names
Former WWE Superstar, Tucker, was recently a guest on the What Do You Call It? podcast. During this, he spoke about why Vince McMahon shortened him and Otis’ names.
Here is what Tucker said:
“We weren’t consulted about it or anything. We heard about it on the internet or something, always, which is par for the course. It shouldn’t be, but it is. The reason I was given, which makes sense but it doesn’t make sense.
“Basically, the reason that I understand is that – and this happens more often than not – seconds on television. Vince didn’t like how long it took for the announcer to say ‘Tucker Knight, Otis Dozovic, Heavy Machinery’ coming to the ring. That’s the reason.”
My Take:
- I actually agree with Vince on this. I think Otis sounds better than Otis Dozovic. Tucker Knight would have been fine to keep though.
