Rumor Roundup: Major Plans For Shane McMahon, WWE Star Was In Line For A Big Push, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) WWE Star Was In Line For A Big Push Before COVID-19

According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select (subscribe here), Riddick Moss was set for a big push in WWE before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

Moss pulled himself from WWE television because his brother (who he lives with) is at a larger risk for COVID-19 due to his cystic fibrosis. As a result, the push for Moss in WWE was scrapped.

Paul Heyman was said to have been a big fan of Moss and he was set for a big push prior to this all happening (and prior to Heyman being let go as the guy in charge of RAW).

My Take:

  • This would make sense as they did have Moss randomly beat Ricochet on RAW one week. That seemed like it was going to be the start of his push. Still, I don’t blame him for making the decision for his family and I hope he is able to receive that push down the road.

4) WWE Scrapped Return Due To COVID-19

Paul Ellering was recently a guest on the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast. During this, he revealed that he was supposed to return as AOP’s manager before the COVID-19 pandemic happened.

Here is what Ellering had to say:

“The idea was to bring me back in, but then this Corona stuff came up. Then the guys got hurt and they were out a while, so everything got put on the back shelf and I don’t know where it sits now.”

My Take:

  • This is a bummer as I loved Ellering as the manager of AOP. Hopefully, they put them back together after Akam and Rezar get back to 100%.
