Rumor Roundup: Mandatory WWE Training, Backstage Concern At The Performance Center, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Backstage Concern At The WWE Performance Center

According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, Vince McMahon is heading to the WWE Performance Center to meet with staff and coaches. This has led to some concern among employees due to all of the recent cuts that WWE has made.

Here is what Johnson wrote:

Vince McMahon is slated to be at the WWE Performance Center today and is scheduled to have a meeting with the staff and coaches at the facility, PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources.

As you might imagine, the rare visit from McMahon has many who work within the PC and WWE NXT privately concerned, given the amount of cuts the company has made in recent months.

Whether there is any actual valid reason for the concern remains to be seen.

My Take:

  • I don’t blame anyone for being on edge. WWE seems to be on a cutting spree and nobody seems safe.

4) Backstage Note On Shawn Michaels’ Teaching Style

According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, Shawn Michaels is very progressive in his teaching style at the WWE Performance Center.

Here is what Johnson wrote:

The PC is headed by Matt Bloom with Shawn Michaels having taken on a major role over the last year.  Michaels is said to be very progressive towards his approach, leaning into the current evolution of the style inside the ring that younger talents perform while others remain far more conservative in how they see and approach things.

My Take:

  • This is pretty interesting to hear. I am sure that a lot of the NXT talent love working with him.
