5) Backstage Chaos At RAW
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the first hour of RAW was not set in stone until about 45 minutes before it went on the air. This came after a lot of re-writes throughout the day.
Here is what Johnson wrote:
There was yet again a lot of ripping up of the script of Raw all day before they went on the air, which led to quite a few rematches this week. A lot of the first hour of the show wasn’t set in stone until shortly (as in 35-45 minutes) before they went on the air tonight.
My Take:
- It always amazes me how close WWE cuts it when booking their shows. Stressful workplace seems like an understatement.
4) Backstage Reaction To WWE’s Return To Touring
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, there is a lot of backstage excitement about WWE going back on the road again.
Here is what Johnson wrote:
There’s a lot of excitement about going back on the road among the talents. Some are hopeful for bumps from merchandise royalties from live events. Others are being cautious in expectations on how the shows will draw and there is a lot of interest in how the initial shows sell when they go on sale Wednesday, especially Money in the Bank as it’s a PPV show.
My Take:
- This makes sense as wrestlers are used to traveling across the world and not staying in one place. Will be a nice change for them.
