Rumor Roundup: New Vince McMahon Orders Before Going Back To Live Shows, Good News On The Miz, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Backstage Notes On Michael Cole

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, there is no backstage heat on Michael Cole for botching the call on Bianca Belair’s title win at Wrestlemania 37. It was also noted that some talent have realized how good Cole can be after the commentary woes over the past month.

Here is what Sapp wrote about Cole:

We’ve had more inquiries than usual about Michael Cole, even in the weeks following WrestleMania, asking if there was any heat on him regarding the gaffe in the night 1 main event of the show. When we asked immediately following the show and subsequently, were told there was no heat on him and it was very much a “shit happens, that sucks” type of situation. Over the past month, some of the commentary woes were said to have made some talent we spoke to realize how good Cole can be. We have heard of Cole admitting the mistake to multiple people, but nobody we’ve spoken to backstage has made a big deal of it and chalked it up to accidents happening.

My Take:

  • Cole gets a lot of heat from fans but I think he does a serviceable job. It is definitely not an easy job as we saw with Adnan Virk.

4) Hall Of Famer To Work In A Backstage Role With WWE

According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWinsider, Molly Holly is trying out as a potential backstage producer for WWE.

Here is what Johnson wrote:

WWE Hall of Famer Molly Holly is backstage at tonight’s Monday Night Raw taping, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

We are told Holly is there for a tryout as a potential producer for the company.

My Take:

  • I have always been a Molly Holly fan so I am happy to see her get a chance. I hope that she is able to stick and I am sure she will be a valuable voice for the current talent.
