Rumor Roundup: Notes On The Backstage Argument Involving Charlotte Flair, More

3) Note On The Backstage Argument Involving Charlotte Flair (Part 1)

Mike Johnson of PWinsider has provided some more details on the rumored backstage incident between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair after Smackdown. Johnson says that Sonya Deville was also very unhappy with Charlotte and allegedly was mad enough that she wanted to fight her.

Here is what Johnson wrote:

The Lynch confrontation took place in the gorilla position in full view of Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard, among others and received the lion’s share of attention initially, but Lynch was not the only person upset with Flair.  Two different sources described Sonya Deville as “mad enough to want to fight Flair” and at one point, also having an argument with Flair backstage at Smackdown.

The Lynch argument was said to have been loud and angry with Lynch described as standing up for herself after being “disrespected.”

My Take:

  • Definitely would have loved to be a fly on that wall. Sounds like it was heated.

2) Note On The Backstage Argument Involving Charlotte Flair (Part 2)

According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, the blame for the backstage incident was said to mostly be on Charlotte Flair so far.

Here is what Johnson wrote:

Thus far, the blame for the situation has fallen on Charlotte Flair, with several claiming that the situation started after Flair made it clear she felt the segment made her and her championship reign look weak.  There have been several alleged instances where Flair’s behavior has led to issues in recent months, including a legitimate back and forth with Nia Jax in the ring on Raw.

My Take:

  • I don’t really see how a title swap makes anybody look weak. I don’t think it makes anyone look strong but I wouldn’t say weak by any means.
