Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) NXT Changing Nights?
It was recently announced that NBC Sports is shutting down. It was also announced that their big shows like the NHL and NASCAR will be moving to the USA Network.
This has led to some speculation from wrestling fans that NXT could be forced to change nights. This is because the show currently airs on the USA Network.
My Take:
- This will be a story to follow over the next month. It seems too early to tell but definitely an interesting development.
4) WWE Stars Not Receiving The COVID-19 Vaccine
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), Superstars will not be receiving the COVID-19 vaccine through WWE.
Here is what Sapp said:
WWE talent were informed via their talent relations app recently that they would not be receiving a COVID-19 vaccine through WWE, and that it was their own responsibility to schedule and get said vaccine. This surprised several WWE talent, that were expecting this to be set up through WWE, while others that we spoke to figured because of the nature of their status as independent contractors that it would end up this way. There was a ton of frustration among talent that we’ve spoken to, who noted there are influential people near the top of WWE who actively speak against COVID.
My Take:
- I am also surprised that WWE isn’t trying to jump the line on getting the vaccine for their Superstars.
