Rumor Roundup: Sasha Bank’s Absence, Why Brock Lesnar Hasn’t Returned To WWE, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Why Brock Lesnar Hasn’t Returned To WWE

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer provided some context as to why Brock Lesnar hasn’t signed a new deal with WWE.

Here is what Meltzer wrote:

He also has not been in negotiations with WWE because of the idea it’s not smart timing for what is likely a Mania in 2022 through 2024 to make a deal now when the competition is likely to only raise his value and the money he could get when they want him and when he wants to come back for maximum interest

My Take:

  • This actually makes sense. Brock is waiting and will likely cash in massively in a few months when WWE needs him. Smart move by him.

4) Superstar Moved To A New Brand Without WWE Telling Him

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select (subscribe here), Slapjack was moved to the Smackdown roster without anyone in WWE telling him.

Here is what Sapp wrote:

The move was done even without his knowledge, and he started to appear on the internal roster sheets and depth charts, where wrestlers then informed him. Slapjack hasn’t appeared on Raw or SmackDown whatsoever since WrestleMania, and is still listed under that gimmick.

My Take:

  • I am just happy the Retribution angle is over. It wasn’t working for me. Slapjack should go back to NXT and change his name back.
