3) NXT Star Is Legitimately Injured
On the latest episode of NXT, it was announced that Dexter Lumis was pulled from the ladder match for the NXT North American Championship. This led to some fan speculation that this was a kayfabe injury.
According to Bryan Alvarez on the F4WOnline Message Board, Lumis is legitimately injured. He apparently suffered an ankle injury during a recent episode of NXT when he did a flip to the outside of the ring.
My Take:
- That definitely sucks for Lumis as I was excited to see him in the ladder match. WWE seems to be behind him though, so I am sure that he will get more chances when he returns.
2) Update On The Members Of ‘Retribution’
Dave Meltzer appeared on the latest edition of the Sunday Night’s Main Event podcast. During this, Metzer says that he was “outright told” the group that appeared on Smackdown were not actually the real members of RETRIBUTION.
In other words, the people who were under the masks on Smackdown won’t be the ones who will actually be playing the characters on television.
My Take:
- I guess this makes sense so that WWE can keep the reveal as a big secret. Still, it seems a bit weird to change up the people involved.
