Rumor Roundup: Spoiler On An Upcoming WWE Heel Turn, Note On WWE Salaries, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Backstage Note On WWE Salaries

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that only two Superstars are making $5 million per year in WWE right now. Those two Superstars are Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.

Here is what Meltzer said:

“These guys, your average guy on the roster — realistically — your average guy on the roster should be making in the range of $5 million — and there are guys who make $5 million there, but you can count them on one hand. You know your Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar — maybe you can count them on two fingers. I don’t think there’s anyone else making $5 million. There’s a couple people who are making over $3 million. The point is that they are getting underpaid — Vince McMahon thinks they’re overpaid.”

My Take:

  • I would think Brock and Roman could be $10 million per year guys for how much they bring. Roman especially who does it every week.

4) Backstage Note On Who Ran RAW This Week

According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, Vince McMahon left before RAW started this week. John Laurinaitis was the person who ran the taping in his place.

Here is what Johnson wrote:

John Laurinaitis ran last night’s WWE Raw taping in Louisville, Kentucky last night, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

Vince McMahon was at the taping and ran what was described as a “Capital letters LONG” production meeting during the afternoon, then left and was not present for the show itself.

Bruce Prichard was not in attendance at the taping, leaving the actual taping itself to be run by Lauirinaitis.

My Take:

  • It was a decent episode. Nothing horrible but nothing great I thought. So your typical RAW.
