Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) The Original Plans For Big E’s Singles Run

According to Ringside News, Vince McMahon has always toyed with the idea of pushing Big E as a singles guy.

The site says that there were plans for a heel turn for Big E last year but Vince didn’t end up pulling the trigger:

Ringside News has learned that Vince McMahon “always toyed with the idea” of pushing Big E as a singles star. It appears that the next six weeks could be a start of that finally happening for him.

We were additionally told by a member of the writing team with knowledge of the situation that there were plans for Big E to turn heel last year. Vince McMahon never pulled the trigger on the idea.

My Take:

  • I am glad that they didn’t break up the New Day. I am also excited to see how Big E does over the next several weeks as a singles guy and I think that he has a chance to get over as a strong babyface.

4) More On The Backstage Reaction To Aleister Black

Over the past week, there was a rumor that Vince McMahon has some mixed feelings about Aleister Black. According to a report from WrestlingNews.co, Vince wasn’t a big fan of Black last year but gave him a chance when Paul Heyman was in charge.

Here is what the site wrote:

WrestlingNews.co was told last year that Vince McMahon wasn’t a huge fan of Aleister Black but he was going to wait things out to see if Heyman could turn him into a top star. Others in the company believe Black has all the tools to be a top guy in the company.

My Take:

  • I think that Aleister could be a top guy on RAW. I think that they were doing a great job at building him up prior to Wrestlemania 36 and they should go back to that.
