Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Celebrity To Host Summerslam?
According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast, Cardi B will be the host of Summerslam this year.
Here is what Zarian Tweeted:
I can confirm that I was told cardi b is the host for SummerSlam this year.
My Take:
- This will definitely get some additional eyes on the WWE product. Could be amazing or a complete disaster and I can’t wait.
4) Backstage Note On The WWE-NJPW Talks
Mike Johnson of PWInsider provided some additional details about the rumors of WWE possibly working with NJPW. According to Johnson, these talks started with the idea of Daniel Bryan possibly working some dates for NJPW.
Here is what Johnson wrote:
PWInsider.com has been told today by sources from each company that there have been communications between the two sides for several months but the main crux of it was over the potential of Daniel Bryan being able to potentially work some dates in NJPW. Whether anything has come from those discussions remain to be seen. Is it possible the two sides could build a bridge to each other? Sure, but if so, it’s not happening right now and it’s not something that has happened yet despite talking for some time off and on.
My Take:
- Bryan working a few matches for NJPW but staying on the WWE roster would be awesome. I am not sure if it will ever happen but I would love to see it.
