Rumor Roundup: The Original Plans For Kevin Owens In The 2019 WWE Draft, WWE Bringing Back Old PPV Names, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) WWE Potentially Bringing Back Old PPV’s

WWE recently filed for the trademarks of several old PPV names. These are from both WCW and ECW.

Here are the trademarks that they filed for:

  • – Fully Loaded
  • – Living Dangerously
  • – Heat Wave
  • – Anarchy Rulz
  • – World War 3
  • – Chi-Town Rumble
  • – Sin
  • – Souled Out
  • – New Blood Rising
  • – Hog Wild
  • – Capital Combat
  • – Road Wild
  • – Greed
  • – Uncensored
  • – Spring Stampede
  • – Mayhem
  • – Beach Blast
  • – Massacre on 34th Street
  • – Hardcore Heaven

This means that WWE could use any of these for a future PPV event or special if they want.

My Take:

  • Some of these could be fun PPV events. The ‘Massacre on 34th Street’ sounds like a fun special for Christmas time. ‘Heat Wave’ could also be a fun PPV in the Summer.

4) The Status Of Tribute To The Troops

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, The Tribute To The Troops special will not be airing on television this year.

Here is what Meltzer said (h/t to Ringside News for the transcript below):

“So they taped — I shouldn’t say taped — they did Tribute To The Troops Friday at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. It was not taped for television. There is no Tribute To The Troops television show this year.”

“Nothing else, they sent people you know and did their thing. For whatever reason the USA Network didn’t want the show. I don’t have an answer. I mean it’s been on television for god knows how many years — it feels like forever. So I was really surprised when I heard that.”

My Take:

  • Kind of a bummer as it sounded like a solid show based on spoilers.
