1) The Plan For Randy Orton At Wrestlemania 37
Randy Orton won the WWE Championship at Hell in a Cell. This came after he defeated Drew McIntyre in their Hell in a Cell match.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, it appears as if WWE is going forward with Edge vs Randy Orton at Wrestlemania 37. Here is what Meltzer said:
“I certainly was given the impression tonight that Orton and Edge is the direction right now for that championship.”
WrestlingNews.co also added the following about Orton and Edge:
WrestlingNews.co was told back in July about an idea pitched during a creative meeting. The idea was to have Orton win the title and then defend it against Edge at the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania.
My Take:
- Orton vs Edge is a match that doesn’t need the WWE Title involved. I still want to see it but I wouldn’t mind if Orton drops the belt before the event.
