Rumor Roundup: The Plans For Roman Reigns’ Storyline, WWE Bringing Back Old Gimmick? More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Why Drew McIntyre Took Big Bump At Hell In a Cell

There was a big bump during the Hell in a Cell match between Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre. This came when Drew was pushed off the cell wall and he landed onto the announce table.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, this was a bump that Drew wanted to take. This is because he was inspired by the first Hell in a Cell match between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. Here is what Meltzer said (h/t to Ringside News for the quotes below):

“When Drew Galloway was a kid he saw that match with Shawn Michaels and Undertaker — the first Hell in a Cell match — and this was the bump that happened in that match, so there was a part of him that wanted to take that bump, so he did.

My Take:

  • This was definitely a really cool moment and I am happy that we got to see it. Drew and Orton put on a really solid match.

4) WWE Bringing Back Old Gimmick?

According to Heel By Nature, WWE recently filed for some trademarks for ‘Sin Cara’.

This comes after the last Sin Cara (Jorge Arias) was released by WWE back in December. Could WWE be looking to give this gimmick to someone else?

My Take:

  • I feel like this is more of WWE trying to make sure that Jorge doesn’t use the Sin Cara name outside of WWE. Still, it could be interesting to see WWE gives the Sin Cara gimmick to someone else. We will have to wait and see I guess.
