Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Backstage Reaction To The Recent WWE Releases
WWE released some big names on Wednesday. This included Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Ruby Riott, and Lana.
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), these releases have led to some backstage speculation about WWE possibly being sold. Here is what Sapp wrote:
A lot of these releases were a surprise to many, and several within the company have already inquired to Fightful about the endgame of said releases. There is a lot of speculating within about a potential sale down the line, but we’ve not heard that from WWE officials.
My Take:
- I am not sure if WWE is going to sell but a lot of people are now speculating on the topic. It will be an interesting few months.
4) Released Superstar Was Going To Get Called Up To The Main Roster
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Santana Garrett was originally going to be called up to the WWE main roster. Santana was originally going to be added to the Smackdown roster but she ended up getting released instead.
Here is what Johnson wrote:
Santana Garrett, who was announced as being released today by WWE, was slated to debut for Friday Night Smackdown, PWInsider.com has learned.
Garrett had been planned to move to the main roster, similar to the recently released Vanesse Bourne, but never actually debuted and had been waiting for her official debut to actually be worked into the storylines.
Instead, she was cut today.

- Seems like she never got a fair shake in WWE. I wish her the best in whatever comes next.
