Rumor Roundup: The Return Of Jimmy Uso, Why Bobby Fish Missed NXT, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Two Other Names That Were Considered For ‘The Hurt Business’

During a recent interview with talkSPORT, Cedric Alexander revealed that there was talk about two other WWE stars joining ‘The Hurt Business’ (instead of him).

The two names that were rumored were Ricochet and Apollo Crews. Here is what Cedric said:

Honestly, I never officially knew until the night it happened. It was always the case of ‘it would be cool if’ and it would be nice if this happened and I’d heard maybe it would be Ricochet or Apollo [Crews] – we just never knew. There was never a set plan until it was like ‘hey, you! You’re in the Hurt Business now.’ Ok, sweet [laughs]. Let’s do it. I’ll take that.

My Take:

  • Cedric has been a solid addition to the group. I originally thought that it would have been Ricochet but I am pleasantly surprised with how Cedric has fit in with the group so far.

4) Why Bobby Fish Missed NXT

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bobby Fish did not miss this week’s episode of NXT due to COVID-19.

Meltzer says that Fish suffered a minor knee injury while he was doing some kickboxing and BJJ training.

My Take:

  • The key word here is minor, so it doesn’t sound like he will be out for the long-term. That is great news as Fish has had some bad injury luck over the years.
